BAYLEY GARNHAM – PERSONAL TRAINER
Hi there, my name is Bayley Garnham.
I am a personal trainer, group fitness instructor and strength and conditioning coach with a Bachelor’s degree in Sport and Recreation, Majoring in Sport and Exercise Science and notably a finalist nomination in the 2021/2022 Exercise New Zealand for Up and Coming Personal Trainer and named the top ‘Up and Coming Personal Trainer in Auckland’.
The awards demonstrated to top exercise professionals and co-operations my continuous learning and improvement and how it benefits my clients and the industry. These have allowed me to safely and effectively work with a wide variety of clientele.
As a Strength and Conditioning coach, I work with youth and senior New Zealand representative athletes in Swimming, Waterpolo, Sailing, Rugby, Para Triathlon and professional dancers. My background as an athlete comes from six years of training and competing in Olympic weightlifting at a national level, so I know what it takes to get the best results for your chosen sport.
As a Personal Trainer, I have and continue to train and work with various clients. These include youth/teenagers as young as eight years old with and without physical and neurological differences, e.g., Autism, Dyspraxia, Cerebral Palsy and visual impairments (Blindness). Other areas include injury rehabilitation (knee and hip replacements) and older individuals, the eldest being 89. While those are speciality areas, I also work with any and everyone who is just looking to get stronger, develop healthier habits and become more confident in the gym.
As someone who has Dyspraxia, which is a neurological learning disorder alongside my passion for training people, I am passionate about spreading awareness for neurological and physical conditions. I have partnered with SPELD New Zealand and the Dyspraxia Support Group of New Zealand to provide webinars with SPELD for families around the country and continue to communicate with families one-on-one, spreading awareness for the benefits of physical activity.
I want you to learn why specific training methods work for you and give you the education and confidence to apply them to your personal goals, no matter what they are.
Whatever your reason for coming to the gym, I’m ready to support you and help you get the most out of each workout!
